Mason’s UAV Systems Cyber Analysis Testbed (MUSCAT), is a system of systems modeling and simulation testbed for sensing, tracking, and fusion of sUAV to guide infrastructure-level decision making.

Opportunity and Challenges:  

• UAVs are becoming ubiquitous with a strong business potential to contribute rapidly to economic growth.

• Decades of research and development in UAV enabling technologies.

• Quadcopter small fixed wings dynamics, structures, propulsion, and control.  

• Recent FAA studies in Urban Traffic Mobility to enable wider urban area flight operations.

• Limited (to almost non-existent) studies on cyber and security related operations of sUAV.
